Tides of Blue

The sea is never still,
Blue is always fading.
We learn to breathe with the waves,
to lose and find ourselves again.
After every tide falls, another rises,
Endlessly

Ran in Youth

At seven, we wandered down that road,
eyes locked, unsteady, laughing.
Time was linear
We thought the world was simply this.
At seventeen, we walked farther,
to places we once only traced in air.
We wanted to shut ourselves in,
We wanted to walk away.
 We told ourselves again,
 the world is simply this.

Stay in Color

Colors always confuse us.
The sky and sea were always blue,
the trees forever green,
the streets spilling with painted light.
Until one day we saw,
it was never the world painting itself,
it was us,
coloring it in, again and again.
If I could, I wish to always stay in colors.

People Who Wait

You wish to go back in time
When world is still black and white
You imagine yourself
standing before mountains,
scratching marks into stone.
You stand at the street corner,
a pigeon moves between the lines,
a child waits in the air.
You stop staring at them and moves on
Every step, every glance,
leaves a mark the world remembers.
